"How lucky we were, and how deeply satisfying it was, to be able to dip our student pieces into glazes our instructor Katie Horsman had collected during her travels and visits with many of the leading artist craftsmen and women of that time.
Our notebooks included glaze recipes from Bernard Leach,
Shoji Hamada, Peter Voulkos, and other artists who are still much honored and collected by museums worldwide today."
